Some Testimonials: "My name is Matthew Kruse, I am 19 years old and I go to the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida. I wanted to come to Santiago, Chile to do an internship with some kind of a Justice Program. I ended up working in a judicial organization for about 2 months and a half. There I worked with a group/team of two lawyers and a psychologist. We attended to victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and violence. I attended conferences which dealt with the reform of the Penal System in Chile, and another conference which dealt with the new laws protection citizens from sexual offenders. I have learned a lot about the Judicial Process here in Chile, and much of what this public 'law firm' does for the citizens that live in the region. In closing I would just like to thank the organization team for bringing me here to Chile and making my trip to Chile a wonderful experience"
Rebecca Williams (USA) "I arrived in Chile with the intention of gain work experience, but little knowledge of how I was going obtain it. The organization helped me get out of the class room and into the work environment, which I really appreciated."

SERVAS
Servas is an international homestay organization that builds peace by bringing people of diverse cultures together to share cultural traditions and perspectives on international issues. It's a great supplement to the abroad experience, and gives students the chance to see the countries they visit on another level.
Abroad, Servas International is a completely volunteer run organization and so there would be no possible work opportunities for students through our organization.
Servas offers opportunities for short-term homestays, lasting about 2-3 days. Using the Servas host list, students would contact one of our hosts based on their location, interests, profession, etc. and arrange the homestay with them. Because our hosts are volunteers we cannot guarantee homestays on particular days.
Contact email: info@usservas for an application.
