Casa de Español Xelajú (Antigua & Quetzaltenango)

Founded in 1987, as the first socially responsible Spanish immersion program in Guatemala, CEX has become one of the leading Spanish programs in Guatemala and Latin America. With several academic agreements with major universities in the US, CEX can provide graduate and undergraduate credits in Spanish and Latin America literature. Our main goal is to provide one of the finest Spanish programs to our students. We have helped more than 7,500 students from all over the world to learn Spanish and understand the Guatemalan culture. We are frequently asked about the differences concerning studying Spanish in Antigua and Quetzaltenango. We believe that this depends on the interests of the student. If the student is looking for a tourist experience, we recommend Antigua because it is the most touristed city in the country. If the student is looking for language and cultural immersion, Quetzaltenango is the better alternative because there are not as many
tourists.
